Meadows Monday Memo

Washington, PA – Here is this week’s Meadows Monday Memo:

This week will feature our regular fall schedule, with racing on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons, all at 12:45.

MINNESOTA HORSES, TRAINERS STARTING TO ARRIVE

Last winter, several Minnesota-based horses spent their winters at The Meadows after the season ended at Running Aces. A few horses from the Midwest have made their way to Pennsylvania in the last couple of weeks. Trainer Rick Magee sent SB Bodacious to trainer Angie Coleman for a start last week, and on Wednesday, Magee is listed as trainer on a new horse to his stable, Catch N Kill, which will be making its local debut in Race Four.

TRAINERS GEARING UP FOR FALL/WINTER

Horses and trainers from Minnesota aren’t the only ones changing things around at The Meadows for the fall. Local trainers are bringing in new stock from various locations. This week, we are seeing entries of horses that have raced at Indiana fairs, Truro Raceway, Hawthorne, Mohawk and Shenandoah Downs, in addition to the “regular” fall influx of horses that have raced at fairs in both Ohio and Pennsylvania.
