Monticello, NY — Mr Thinker cruised to an easy four length victory in the eighth race on Thursday, July 1, at Monticello Raceway and with that triumph the veteran pacing gelding equaled the track record of 10 consecutive victories set in 2008 by Hogies Cam and driver Jordan Stratton.

Mr Thinker won his tenth consecutive race on Thursday at Monticello.

Zeke Parker was again in the pilot’s seat and guided Mr Thinker to yet another wire-to-wire victory, this week in a time of 1:58.1. And with that victory Mr Thinker now has 12 seasonal wins which currently ties him for second — with five others — for the most wins by a harness horse in North America.

“I’ve won a lot of races and have driven a lot of horses but I can’t remember when I drove a horse that loves to race and win as much as he (Mr Thinker) does,” Parker said. (Owner-trainer) Brian (O’Neill) is doing a great job with him and there’s a good chance that he will keep on winning.”

It was one of four driving victories on the card for Parker who recently topped 10,000 career wins.
