Monticello, NY — The final New York Sire Stakes race of the 2024 season at Monticello Raceway took place Monday afternoon (Aug. 19), where 2-year-old trotting fillies closed out the season. The seven-horse field raced for $106,000.
Boost and Caviart Adele both made breaks leaving the gate. My Debt Collector, with Jimmy Taggart Jr. at the helm, were handed the lead and tripped the beam at every station. They were racing in single file until they hit the five-eighths marker when the favorite Beautiful Sight (Tyler Buter) and Calculus Risk (Jordan Stratton) got underway first over to take aim on the leader.
In the paddock turn Beautiful Sight was almost even with My Debt Collector but the threat stalled and My Debt Collector cruised home to take the win in 1:59.4 ($5.70).
It was the second seasonal win for the Nifty Norman trained daughter of Chapter Seven–Magic Presto.
