Saratoga Springs, NY – Mydadsaid A won for the fourth time in the last six weeks as he went coast-to-coast at Saratoga Casino Hotel with Jimmy Devaux at the controls.
The Jackie Greene trainee drew post 7 in Saturday’s (Oct. 10) installment of the $18,000 Open Pace and powered up in the early going to secure the lead in an opening quarter of :27.1. Feeling no pressure on the front-end in the Open, Mydadsaid A got a middle half breather of :56.4 and held off late bids from last week’s Open winner Binge On Yankee (driven by Kyle Swift) and pocket-sitter Red Blooded (Wally Hennessey) before scoring by three-quarters of a length in 1:54.
It was the sixth win of the season for Mydadsaid A and his third Open victory in the last six weeks. Binge On Yankee won a place photo with Red Blooded, who finished one spot behind Binge On Yankee for the second consecutive week.
The 3-5 betting favorite on Saturday, Mydadsaid A is a 7-year-old son of Sportswriter owned by Kellogg Racing Stables.
Live racing continues on Sunday (Oct. 11) at Saratoga with a first post time set for noon.
