NAADA to have Fall Pacing Series

by John Manzi, for the NAADA

Monticello, NY — The North American Amateur Drivers Association will have a Fall Pacing Series at Yonkers Raceway beginning on October 4 and continuing every other Saturday, culminating in a $10,000 Final on December 13.

Each preliminary leg will be contested for a $3,500 purse.

Horses eligible to start must be non-winners of $400 per start in their last 10 starts. Also eligible are horses that have raced for a basic claiming price of not more than $7,500 in two of their last three pari-mutuel starts. However, horses that have earned more than $15,000 in the prior year are not eligible.

All races in the NAADA series will be charted and all pari-mutuel conditions for horses and drivers apply whether NAADA races are on or off the betting card.

Drivers competing in the club races will be assessed a $50 starting fee per race and all horses entered in the NAADA races are subject to be tested, both by blood or urine.

Trainers will be awarded the same number of points as are accumulated by their drivers and the trainer with the most points at the end of the series will receive a $500 bonus.

For a complete set of conditions for the NAADA series, or for further information, please contact NAADA President Joe Faraldo at (718) 544-6800.
