Indianapolis, IN — A new sale has been announced for 2025. The Midwest Standardbred Horse Sale (formerly known as the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale) will take place Thursday (Oct. 16) through Saturday (Oct. 18) at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Ind.
Day 1 will feature the “Gold” Select yearlings while day 2 will see the “Silver” Select yearlings sell. Day 3 will be a mixed sale comprised of yearlings, weanlings, broodmares and broodmare prospects, racehorses and stallion shares.
Improvements planned for the 2025 Midwest Standardbred Horse Sale include:
The auction being held in the spacious Corteva Coliseum, a 6,500-seat arena.
The sale will now be open to all yearlings and not limited to Indiana sired yearlings.
The catalog being available for download on the Equineline app.
Sliding scale commissions as well as a lower sale commission on stallion shares.
Buyer’s rebates.
Consignors being paid 50% of their proceeds at the conclusion of the sale and the remaining 50% within three weeks.
All yearlings to be personally inspected by Dr. Bridgette Jablonsky in late spring/early summer.
