Campbelllville, ON — Woodbine Entertainment Group today relaunched the official Pepsi North America Cup website. All the information surrounding the 28th edition of the C$1.5 million classic for the continent’s top 3-year-old pacers, set for June 18 at Mohawk will be available at NorthAmericaCup.com.

Feature videos, event details, promotions, history and news and notes plus much more will furnish the website, which also offers a weekly poll and top 10 contenders.

Last year’s top 2-year-old pacer, Big Jim has emerged as the top contender for this year’s top prize.

The son of Western Ideal-Bold Pink won six of ten starts and $834,080 in earnings as a rookie. He posted victories in the $600,000 Breeders Crown and $709,000 Governors Cup for driver Phil Hudon and trainer James ‘Friday’ Dean.

In his sophomore debut this past Saturday at Meadowlands, Big Jim stormed his way to a comfortable two-length victory in the New Jersey Classic prep race in 1:51.4.

“It was a good race for him, he needed that,” Dean said. “If we didn’t get a prep race for him, we were going to qualify him Saturday morning at Meadowlands. “

Big Jim will face the exact same field in the $500,000 New Jersey Classic this Saturday at The Meadowlands except with one more participant, Shadyshark Hanover.
