Northville, MI — Northville Downs will open its 2010 live racing season on Friday, Feb. 12, with a 7:15 p.m. post time.

Live racing will be held every Friday and Saturday night at 7:15 p.m. and every Sunday night at 5:15 p.m.

New for 2010, we will now be offering nine- horse fields. The ninth starter will score from the second tier. We also plan on carding 14 races most racing nights. In addition to the bigger fields we will be offering 50 cent trifecta wagering on all trifecta part wheels, keys and boxes. We have also added three Pick 3 wagers throughout the evening.

Northville Downs is encouraging new players to sign up for the Preferred Players Program. All new, as well as existing players that renew their card, will receive a savings book worth $100 in savings at the track. Players can register on the Web site at www.northvilledowns.com or in person at the Promo Center located on the second floor of the clubhouse.

All weekend long, bring your sweetheart as we will be having a valentine special in the dining room which will include dinner for two, drinks, and dessert for $24.99. Reservations can be made by calling 248.349.1000.

Also on tap for opening weekend, we will have many prize giveaways, including a prize wheel. We will be playing Racetrack Bingo and we will also be giving away sports merchandise.

Dollar Night will be back every Sunday at the track as patrons can enjoy $1 hot dogs, soft drinks, popcorn, live programs, live wagers, and $2 draft beer.
