Las Vegas, NV – NVSA recognizes Allan Neurauter as the first owner who has submitted a Sire Registration in the Nevada Standardbred Development Program (“NSDP”). He recently submitted Captain Deo (2015 , P , 3 , 1:50.2M $181,568), who was sired by immortal Hall of Fame pacer and sire Somebeachsomewhere and the prolific mare Worldly Beauty (P,4,1:48.3, $2,146,076). Worldly Beauty’s sire is Artsplace.
Captain Deo’s registration enables any of his foals, born or yet to be born, to enroll in the NSDP and participate in NSDP sponsored races, events, and awards after their enrollment.
Deo, an Alberta sire, first foals were born in 2021 and has 47 registered foals in total. Tenty four of the foals were born in 2021. As of Oct. 31, 2024, Captain Deo has 14 starters of the 24 foals born in 2021, that have won $126,319. Of the 14 starters, half have been in 2:00, with life records for GT’s Jukebox Jack (P,2,1:55.1M), Imashipwreck (P,2,1:56.0M), GT’s Captain Solo (P,2,1:56.1M) and Ima Rum Runner (P,2,1:56.3E). About the NSDP:
Beginning in 2024 owners may Register their Stallions/Mares for a fee of $1500/$300 USD respectively. For 2024, the Registration is a one-time lifetime fee registration. The one-time lifetime payment for Registrants is subject to change in 2025, so if considering Registering your Stallion/Mare, act quickly. Registration enables foals of registrants to Enroll for $200USD to participate in NSDP sponsored races, events and awards. We anticipate the first sponsored races/events/awards to begin in 2025.
Foals of 2024 NSDP Registered Sires/Mares are eligible to Enroll $200USD single lifetime payment. The lifetime Enrollment provision is subject to change in 2025, so if interested act quickly.
NSDP sponsored events are anticipated to begin in 2025 and may include race augmentations, Pleasure Horse events such as Rodeo, Western, Driving, English, etc. Racing in Nevada is pending regulatory update, completion of financing, and a track being built or converted. Given the significant number of arenas and performance areas in Nevada, events will begin as soon as there are a sufficient number of standardbred performers available.

The NVSA, a Nevada not-for-profit corporation that promotes and supports Harness Racing, Standardbred breeding and development programs, as well as Equine Education in Nevada.
