NYSS sophomore pacing fillies tackle Tioga on Sunday

Nichols, NY — Tioga Downs welcomes two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes for 3-year-old pacing fillies on Sunday (July 23).

Earthwindfire (Jack Pelling) should be the one to beat in the $60,300 first division. The 6-5 morning line favorite is a filly by American Ideal. She is trained by Brett Pelling. She is coming off a win in the $115,000 Park MGM Filly Pace final at Yonkers. The filly is four-for-four this season including NYSS wins at Monticello and Saratoga. She has won over $400,000 in her career.

The 3-1 second choice in the first division is the Bruce Clarke trained Turn On The Charm (Marcus Miller). The filly by Huntsville has five wins this season including NYSS wins at Buffalo, Saratoga, Monticello, and Vernon Downs.

Southwind Bella (Jack Pelling) is the 3-2 morning line choice and Twin B Joe Fresh (Jason Bartlett) the 9-5 second choice in the $60,300 second division.

Brett Pelling trains Southwind Bella (Huntsville). She has two wins and four places this season including a NYSS win at Saratoga.

Twin B Joe Fresh (Roll With Joe) has two wins this season including a NYSS win at Vernon Downs. The filly has 10 career victories and has amassed over $700,000 in purses. She is trained by Chris Ryder.
