Oh K Man impressive in Northville Open

Northville, MI — Oh K Man (Western Ideal – Armbro Amour) and driver Marc St. Louis, Jr. grabbed command just past the quarter pole from Lying In Cash and driver Jason Merriman and never looked back to capture the Saturday night $10,800 featured Open Handicap Pace at Northville Downs.

The nine-year-old horse set fractions of 27, 55.4, 1:23.4 and a final clocking of 1:53.1, holding off a late surge from Commander Bob (David Lake), to win by a half-length, while Lying In Cash (Jason Merriman) settled for third. This marked the 45th career victory for Oh K Man and pushed his career earnings to $276,111.

Oh K Man is owned by Julie Neil and trained by Danielle St. Louis.

Driver Lindsay Moen had a driving triple while Kody Massey, Kim Pluta and David Lake had driving doubles. Karen Tkaczyk and Paul Cloer, Jr. had training doubles.

Racing at The Ville resumes Friday (June 9), at 7 p.m. Friday night is dollar night with $1 live programs, $1 pop, $1 popcorn, $2 hot dogs and beer, as well as hamburger and cheeseburger specials. Northville Downs races every Friday and Saturday night until September 30th  with a 7 p.m. post time.
