Monroe, OH – Oh Look Magic took a couple of weeks off, but showed no rust, going gate-to-wire to win the featured $36,000 Open Handicap at Miami Valley on Wednesday (April 15) night for his seventh straight win.
Saddled with his usual outside post, regular pilot Chris Page drifted away from post nine while Yanks Dugout left hard from post six to cross over quickly and secure the early lead. Page waited patiently for a few horses to drop in line before urging Oh Look Magic on to easily clear to the front in :28.

As the field aligned single file, Oh Look Magic led while Yanks Dugout sat in the pocket with Woman Of Passion sitting third. The half came and went in :56.3. With heads pointed towards three-quarters, the order remained the same with Oh Look Magic showing the way and slowly extending his lead. As they passed three quarters in 1:24.1, Oh Look Magic led by two lengths with Yanks Dugout all out in second.
Woman Of Passion was under attack in third from a first-over move by Sayinwhatimthinkin and a second over Jogging Full Trot. As they turned for home it was Oh Look Magic in full control and under a hand drive as he would go on to win by two and a quarter lengths in 1:52.1. Yanks Dugout held off a hard charging Jogging Full Trot to round out the trifecta.
