Monroe, OH – Starting from post nine, Oh Look Magic and regular pilot Chris Page drifted off the wings of the starting gate and found themselves four-wide to a whole host of leavers to his inside in the Open Trot at Miami Valley on Wednesday (April 22) night.

With nowhere to go, Page took Oh Look Magic back out of the fray as Yanks Dugout took an early lead with Battle Hill to his outside and Adamsville Road right behind him and Woman Of Passion parked three-wide. As the dust settled around the opening turn, Battle Hill cleared for the lead and led them past an opening quarter of :27.1. Right on his outside, Adamsville Road was up and after the lead, clearing just before the tote board leaving Battle Hill to sit second, with Yanks Dugout in third and Woman Of Passion sitting in fourth. Oh Look Magic was now fifth on the outside, having never seen the rail, and once Adamsville Road cleared, was given the word go from Chris Page and brushed up quickly to draw even with Adamsville Road at the half in :56.2.
As they turned up the backside and headed towards three quarters, Oh Look Magic finally cleared for the lead, placing Adamsville Road in the pocket and leaving Abbey D uncovered and now first-over. Three-quarters came and went in 1:24, and as they trotted the final turn, Oh Look Magic opened up by three lengths on the field and continued to stretch his lead, cruising home to win by four and a quarter lengths in 1:53. Battle Hill would shake free late to nose out Yanks Dugout for second.
For Oh Look Magic, it was his ninth win of the meet and the year. He has won an astonishing 19 of his last 23 starts and continues to lead all of North America in earnings with $175,500, and is tied for the lead in wins with nine.
Austin Hanners led everyone with a driving triple on the Wednesday card. Sam Widger and David Miller each had a double.
Racing closes out on Thursday with four $75,000 James K Hackett Memorial Finals set to highlight the card. Post time will be at 4 p.m.
