Columbus, OH – Ohio Super Night comes back to Eldorado Scioto Downs this Saturday (Sept. 12). The 16-race card will not only recognize those who were successful on the Ohio Sires Stakes circuit throughout the summer, but there will be fun for fans of all ages who attend the races. First post is 5:25 p.m. (EDT).
Ohio’s Super Night has turned into an Ohio super weekend with the eight $300,000 Scarlet Championship races to crown Ohio’s best will be on Saturday and eight $100,000 Gray Championship races on Friday (Sept. 11).
Saturday’s race card will also include the $250,000 Grade 2 Charlie Hill Memorial Trot and the $260,000 Grade 2 Jim Ewart Memorial Pace. Both races are stops on the prestigious Grand Circuit schedule.
All horses racing in the 16 Championship races, the Charlie Hill and Jim Ewart are required to report to the Scioto Downs paddock at least six hours prior to their race post.
Saturday’s race card will also have family fun activities surrounding the grandstand, including:
– an obstacle course bounce house for kids
– T-shirt tosses
– OHSS swag give-a-way
– photo booth located inside the north clubhouse entrance
– tumbler cup give-a-way when you buy a program
For wagering customers, there will be multiple guarantees and a second-chance drawing for those on-track. If you have a losing Saturday ticket, put your name and phone number on the back and drop it in the drum near the grandstand teller line. Each ticket drawn throughout the night will get a $100 win wager on a designated race. The six designated races are the four Scarlet Championships for 3-year-olds, the Charlie Hill Trot and the Jim Ewart Pace.
The three multi-race guarantees on Saturday, each having a 14% takeout, include:
Early Pick-4 starting in R7: $10,000
Pick-5 starting in R11: $7,500
Late Pick-4 starting in R13: $15,000
For those that cannot make it to the track, half of Saturday’s race card will be broadcast on FOX Sports 2 from 7:30-11 p.m. Gabe Prewitt and Jessica Otten will be hosting live from Scioto Downs.

The 91-day 2026 Eldorado Scioto Downs regular season is coming to a close, running through Saturday, Sept. 19. Races will be held this week Thursday-Saturday (Sept. 10-12) and next week Tuesday-Thursday and Saturday; there is no live racing on Friday, Sept. 18, to accommodate horsemen attending the Ohio Selected Yearling Sale. The track will then re-open for the Breeders Crown, with eliminations held Oct. 16-17 and the finals Oct. 23-24.
