Vernon, NY – One More Bet (Jimmy Whittemore) claimed the $6,500 featured fillies & mares’ pace at Vernon Downs on Saturday (June 13).
Better Double Flip (Leon Bailey) sprinted to the quarter in :26.1 before slowing things down with a :29.2 second panel and leading the field to the half in :55.3. One More Bet ($11.74) made her move heading to the final turn and took and led to three quarters in 1:24.3.
As they reached the stretch, One More Bet found another gear and cruised home three lengths in front to win easily in 1:52.4. Live N Thrive (Chris Long) came up late to finish second. Better Double Flip had to settle for third.

One More Bet is a 5-year-old mare by All Bets Off. She is owned by Joe Pisarski and trained by Whittemore. It was her second win this season and her 11th career victory.
Jimmy Whittemore scored a training triple and a driving double. Leon Bailey had a driving double.
