Elkhorn, WI — This year’s edition of racing at the Walworth County Fair has added a new event to its annual meet. In addition to its two feature races, the Concret Ribbon Pace and the Lord Steward Trot, the Fair has added the Packer Pace for Wisconsin owned or trained horses in honor of the Green Bay Packers Super Bowl win.
In conjunction with the Packer Pace, former Packer great Leroy Butler, inventor of the Lambeau Leap, will be appearing at the Walworth County Fair on Sunday (September 4) from 12–2:30 p.m. Mr. Butler will be auctioning items for his foundation as well as conducting a book signing.
The Leroy Butler Foundation mission statement reads “to help women going through breast cancer treatment obtain the assistance they need to focus on the job of healing verses the financial impact on their families.”
The following items will be auctioned: 8×10 autographed photo of Gregg Jennings, 8×10 autographed photo of Aaron Rodgers, 2×3 Clay Matthews “Sacking Favre” Hi-Def print on canvas, 2×3 Clay Matthews/Aaron Rodgers “Super Bowl Celebration” print on canvas, and a 2×3 Lambeau Leap print on canvas.
Butler will also be bringing copies of his book for purchase with his autograph for $25. Additional items may be autographed for $25. All proceeds go to the Leroy Butler Foundation.
We hope to see everyone there to support harness racing at the Walworth County Fair and Leroy Butler Foundation.
