Pocono’s Game of Claims series again tough on chalk
Wilkes-Barre, PA – The Sunday (March 5) afternoon action at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania featured seven $12,500 divisions of the first preliminary of the Game Of Claims series for $15,000 base-price pacers. And like yesterday, it was not a good day for the GOC favorites – a single chalk was victorious Saturday, which was a total of one more than the most-fancied series campaigners who competed Sunday.
Saulsbrook Genesis equals Miami Valley track record
Lebanon, OH – Saulsbrook Genesis now shares the title as the fastest horse ever over the Miami Valley five-eighths mile track. He tied the 1:49 record set by Nuclear Dragon in 2018 on Sunday (March 5). The five-year-old son of Sunshine Beach won the $30,000 Open Handicap for driver Chris Page, beating Rollinlikethunder (Trace Tetrick) and Little Rocket Man (John DeLong) in a mild upset.
Pandy picks seven on top at the Meadowlands
ustrotting.com handicapper Bob Pandolfo had seven on top winners in 14 races at the Meadowlands on Saturday night, including the first five as he picked the Pick-5 cold, which paid $87.20 for a $0.20 cent wager.
Game of Claims Series starts at Pocono
Seven fields of $25,000 base-priced pacing claimers took to the track for $20,000 divisions of the first preliminary of their Game Of Claims Series action Saturday afternoon at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania.
