Driver Jeff Gregory had a grand slam including the $7,500 co-features at Vernon Downs on Saturday (September 20).

Livonjaxandqueens (Braxten Boyd) captured the featured $15,000 Open Pace on closing night at Tioga Downs on Saturday (September 20).

Two $12,800 Open class events topped the bill at Batavia Downs on Saturday (Sept. 20) evening and both winners claimed victory with ease.

22-year-old driver Brett Beckwith, the Dan Patch Award winner for Rising Star earlier this year, came to Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon and showed local fans that the U.S. of A. has a chance for the World Driving Championship in New Zealand in November with him as representative.

Despite heavy rains and sloppy track conditions, there was some great harness racing at Running Aces on Friday night (September 19) which included four  Minnesota-sired Consolation races and three Open Handicap events. 

The Down East faithful will transition from Farmington to the 153rd annual Cumberland Fair on Sunday (Sept. 21) with eight harness races programmed at the iconic Southern Maine oval.

On a day when favorites predominated and a horse had to be close entering the far turn to have a good chance, the Papi Rob Hanover three-year-old filly Asphalt filled both those conditions and won the $13,500 Friday (Sept. 19) feature for developing distaff pacers at Harrah’s Philadelphia.
