Samantha Mayhugh named winner of OHHA Terry Holton Youth Award
Samantha Mayhugh, of Circleville, OH, has been named the recipient of the 2025 Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association Terry Holton Youth Award.
Hernandez doubles, Shults wins in AHDC finale
American Harness Drivers Club (AHDC) action wrapped for 2025 on Sunday (Dec. 28) at Harrah’s Philadelphia with Geovany Hernandez bagging two wins and Michael Shults scoring in the other of the three $7,500 events on the card.
Meadowlands Stallion Stakes & EC participation payments on foals of 2025
The Meadowlands will require a Stallion Early Closer Participation Payment to provide eligibility for their foals of 2025 for Meadowlands Stakes & Early Closers that comes due (postmarked by) Feb. 15, 2026.

Prix de Bourgogne: Jushua Tree ahead of Go On Boy
The speed spectacle was missing as Jushua Tree, driven by Jean Michel Bazire, won the Prix de Bourgogne at the Vincennes track in Paris in 1:54.3 (mile rate) over 2,100 meters, ahead of Go On Boy with Romain Derieux.
Woodbine Mohawk Park cancels live racing Sunday night
Woodbine Entertainment has announced that Sunday’s (Dec. 28) card of live racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park has been cancelled.
Multiple carryovers Sunday Night at MGM Northfield Park
The Sunday night (Dec. 28) racing action will be triple packed with carryovers. Bettors can jump in early with the pick-4 beginning in race two which features a hefty $7,186 carryover and an estimated $50,000 pool up for grabs. The value comes right back in race four with a rare pick-3 carryover o $3,578 helping push an estimated pool of $25,000. Lastly there will be a pick-6 carryover of $4,075 in race eight.
