Vernon, NY – Party Queen (Barton Dalious) captured the $6,500 featured fillies & mares’ pace at Vernon Downs on Friday (July 14).

As they made the turn, for home Party Queen ($5.70) battled with Mildrex for the top spot. As they reached mid-stretch, Party Queen just took off and won easily in a lifetime best of 1:52.4. Unusual Clarity (Ron Harp) came up to finish second. Mildrex had to settle for third.

Party Queen is a 5-year-old mare by Roll With Joe. She is owned by Betcha Win Stable LLC. and trained by Jeff Sorenson. It was her fifth win this season and her 15th career victory.

Barton Dalious had a natural hat trick. He combined with trainer Gary Gibson (training double) to get wins with The Hunt Is On and Control Group.

Live racing returns to Vernon Downs on Saturday (July 15) with a 9-race card starting at 6:05 p.m.
