Washington, PA – It was Pink Out 2026 at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows on a beautiful Friday (Oct. 9) autumn evening, featuring a full card of racing that included two Lady Driver races, Corgi races and the eight $25,000 Pennsylvania Fair Finals to crown the 2026 fair “Kings” and “Queens.”
Odds On Favorite and More Than Guapo battled the length of the stretch, with Odds On Favorite prevailing by a neck in the Fair Final for 3-year-old colt and gelding pacers. Mike Wilder kept the Captaintreacherous gelding close to the hot early fractions, and they needed every step of a :27.3 last quarter to secure the career-best 1:51.1 victory. Dan Altmeyer trains Odds On Favorite for breeder-owner Steve McCoy.
A comfortable opening half set Tymal Kryptonite and Shawn Johnston up for victory in the 3-year-old colt and gelding Fair Final trot. After trotting the opening half in :58, Johnston let the son of Greenshoe stride away to an effortless lifetime-best 1:55.1 victory over stablemates Clark (second) and Family Guy (third). Tymal Kryptonite is owned by Kathy Schoeffel and Lewis Falton and trained by Steve Schoeffel. For driver Shawn Johnston, it was his second Fair Final victory of the evening.
Dancin Sweet Heart came from the back of the pack to win the 3-year-old filly pace Fair Final. Dave Palone stayed with the cover until the head of the stretch, then urged the daughter of Always Be Miki to a career-best 1:55.1 effort. Dancin Sweet Heart is trained by Abigail Wright for owner Grace Wright.
The 3-year-old filly Fair Final trot saw a pair of Father Patrick fillies battle to the wire, with PA Patricia wearing down Hot For Her. The 1:57 clocking was a career best for PA Patricia, whose victory pushed her career earnings over $100,000. For driver Chris Shaw, trainer Ashley Brown and owners Sandy Peterson and Alexa Shaw, it was their second Fair Final victory of the evening. PA Patricia was an $11,000 Harrisburg yearling purchase.
Fourth along the rail entering the final turn, James Dodson angled Flying Arrow to the outside and pulled off the biggest upset of the night in the 2-year-old colt and gelding pace Fair Final. Fueled by a :28.1 last quarter and a determined drive from Dodson, the son of Heston Blue Chip scored a nose victory over Fast Crunch at 94-1 odds. Ron Lineweaver trains Flying Arrow for owner Dodson.
Sister Saloon and Chris Shaw raced third through a speedy :56.3 opening half before making a backside move that carried them to a 1:56.1 victory in the 2-year-old filly trot Fair Final. Owned by Sandra Peterson and Alexa Shaw, the daughter of Father Patrick is conditioned by Ashley Brown. It was the 10th win of the freshman campaign for the $10,000 Harrisburg yearling purchase.
A three-wide move down the backside proved to be the winning strategy for SA’s Tiki Bar and Shawn Johnston in the 2-year-old male trot Fair Final. The move propelled the son of Bar Hopping to a two-length lead that he never surrendered on his way to a 1:56.1 victory. Gary Johnston trains and shares ownership of SA’s Tiki Bar with Darren Zielinski.
Honey Roll made it five wins in a row with an open-length victory in the 2-year-old filly Fair Final pace. The daughter of Stay Hungry was unfazed by being parked to the three-eighths pole and powered away to an 11-length, 1:54 victory for Ronnie Wrenn Jr. Bay Pond Racing owns Honey Roll, who has won eight of 11 starts in 2026 for trainer Sam Beegle.
As part of Pink Out 2026, Hollywood Casino at The Meadows hosted a pair of trotting races featuring some of the female drivers of harness racing. Nicky Ratledge and Dela Grande went pillar to post to score a 1:56.4 victory in the first “Pink Out” trot. Alexandra Sarkine moved Swan Legacy from the pocket around the final turn and chased down Bigly for a 1:55.3 win in the second “Pink Out” race.
Friday night’s top driving honors went to Ronnie Wrenn Jr., with three victories, while Ashley Brown and Justin Pirillo each recorded two training wins.
Live racing resumes Wednesday, Oct. 14, with 13 races scheduled. First-race post time is 12:45 p.m. (EDT).
