London, ON – The post position draws are complete for two of the featured events on a highly anticipated Friday night (May 29) program at The Raceway: the C$150,000 Grade 3 Camluck Classic presented by Seelster Farms and the C$50,000 Forest City Pace.
In the Camluck Classic, Ohio invader Helium N has secured the coveted rail position. The son of Sweet Lou enters the race with impressive credentials, including a 1:46.4 track-record performance at Eldorado Scioto Downs, and will be making his first start at The Raceway. Helium N is trained by Christi Noble and will be driven by Dan Noble.
Brue Hanover, who crossed the finish line first in last year’s Camluck Classic before being disqualified and placed third, will begin from post position 7. He is trained by Dave Menary and will once again be driven by James MacDonald.
Lou Hill, coming off a 1:50 Invitational victory at MGM Yonkers Raceway, drew post position 3. He is trained by Per Engblom and will be handled by reigning United States Driver of the Year Jason Bartlett.
The remainder of the Camluck Classic field in post position order is as follows: Poseidon Seelster (post 2), Chase H Hanover (post 4), Donegal Luther N (post 5), Lou’s World (post 6) and Calicojack Hanover (post 8).
The post position draw for the Forest City Pace for older pacing mares was also conducted during Monday’s pre-game show. Blinded By Delight landed the inside post, while top Mohawk Preferred mare Lets N Joy N will start from the outside post position in the eight-horse field. Defending champion Caviar N Crackers drew post 6.
The remaining starters in the Forest City Pace are Raptors Won (post 2) Perfectly Chic (post 3), Grit N Grace (post 4), Ladyterra (post 5) and Talk Curdy To Me (post 8).
Friday night’s stacked program will also feature four C$40,000 London Classic Sale Series finals, Ontario Sires Stakes divisions for 3-year-old filly pacers, a Preferred Trot and Preferred Pace, as well as a Fillies and Mares Preferred. Total purses for the evening will exceed $500,000, the richest night of the race season.
The complete draw for the card will take place Tuesday morning (May 26). First post time on Friday is scheduled for 5:50 p.m. (EDT).
