Idao de Tillard, who was supposed to start in the Prix de France at Vincennes on Sunday (Feb. 9), has injured a fetlock in a foreleg in the paddock and will not be able to start.
“It is not a serious injury, but it takes time to get the horse back again, and I can already say that Idao de Tillard will also not race at Cagnes sur Mer in the Grand Criterium de Vitesse on March 9,” said trainer Thierry Duvaldestin.
The Prix de France is the second major international race in the series — Prix d’Amerique, Prix de France, and Prix de Paris.
In the Prix de France, the distance is 2,100 meters (1-5/16 miles) and the total prize money is 400,000 Euros.
