Nichols, NY — Purple Lord (Jim Pantaleano) won the featured $12,000 trot at Tioga Downs on Friday (May 16).

Kinnder Thinktwice (Braxten Boyd) led to the quarter in :27.1. He used a :29.1 second quarter and was first to the half in :56.2. P L Notsonice (Ridge Warren) was first to make a move going first-over down the backstretch. Kinnder Thinktwice reached three-quarters first in 1:24.4.
As they made the turn for home Purple Lord ($10.60) popped out of the pocket and stormed straight to the lead. Second place finisher Enola (Mike Merton) came flying late but Purple Lord dug in and won in 1:54. Wheelzablazin (Colin Kelly) finished third.
Purple Lord is a 5-year-old gelding by Tactical Landing. He is owned by trainer Mike Deters, along with John Spindler, Joel Warner and Michael Paulson. It was his first win in 2025. He now has 10 career victories.
Braxten Boyd drove three winners on the card. Ridge Warren and Jim Pantaleano had driving doubles.
