Quebec’s François-Patrick Allard to Standardbred Canada Board of Directors

Mississauga, ON — Standardbred Canada’s Chair of the Board, Mr. Bill McLinchey, today announced the appointment of François-Patrick Allard to the Board of Directors at Standardbred Canada, effective immediately.

The general manager of the Quebec Jockey Club, Mr. Allard holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a specialization in statistics and has a solid background in gambling. He worked for more than 20 years at Loto-Québec where he held several senior management positions, including general management, marketing, customer loyalty and business intelligence. At Loto-Québec, he was involved in several areas of business activity including casinos in Quebec and France, bingo, Kinzo and video lottery terminals.

Since the summer of 2021, he has been general manager of the Quebec Jockey Club, overseeing the Hippodrome 3R racetrack, betting shops and online gaming.

“I would like to welcome François-Patrick Allard to the board and know that his expertise in marketing, customer loyalty and business strategy will be a great asset and addition to the overall skillset of our current board, and we are very fortunate to have him as the Quebec track director,” stated McLinchey.

Mr. Allard will attend his first Standardbred Canada Board meeting in Toronto on Friday (April 29).
