Trainer Daniel Redén of Sweden has several notable horses in his stable. On Good Friday (April 18), two of these horses demonstrated performances that may qualify them for an invitation to the Elitloppet.
First, it was the 9-year-old Don Fanucci Zet (sired by Hard Livin) with Ôrjan Kihlström, who triumphed effortlessly at Eskilstuna in 1.52.1f, thereby equaling the fastest time in Europe this year.
But hours later, stablemate, the 5-year-old Holcombe Zet (sired by Daley Lovin), won at Färjestad with Rikard N. Skoglund in the bike. He was timed in 1.51.4f, making it Europe’s fastest trotter in 2025.
Daniel Redén already has one horse in his stable that has been invited to participate in the Elitloppet, Francesco Zet, who will make his season debut on Wednesday (April 23) at Solvalla.
At Färjestad, the Norwegian-owned 5-year-old mare Daim Brodda (sired by Readly Express), trained by Thor Borg and driven by Eirik Høitomt, also delivered an impressive performance in her season debut in a race over 1 5-16 miles, winning in 1.54.4f (mile rate).
Saturday afternoon (April 19) at the Enghien track in Paris the Group 1 race, Prix de l’Atlantique, will be raced over 1-5/16 miles with a total prize pool of 200,000 Euros.
