Grove City, OH — Refined continues to live up to her name, proving herself an elegant athlete on her way to being named the 2024 Ohio older Trotter of the Year.
The 8-year-old daughter of Uncle Peter won the $85,000 Ohio Sires Stakes Veterans Championship and also lowered her lifetime mark to 1:51.2 last year. In 2024 she earned $209,674 under Virgil Morgan Jr.’s conditioning.
Bred by Walnut Hall Stock Farm and owned by Joyce McClelland and Larry Wills, Refined has earned over $1.2 million in her career. She claims a record of 46-31-15 in 138 career starts.
Refined will be honored at the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association annual awards banquet on Jan. 18 at the Marriott Columbus Airport in Columbus, Ohio. Seats are sold out.
