Dover, DE — Rivers took advantage of a perfect trip from driver Corey Callahan and won the $18,000 Winners Over/Select Trot at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday (March 25).
Rivers and Swan In Motion were quickest off the starting gate trotting into the first turn. Rivers retreated to the pocket, allowing Swan In Motion to clear the lead past the :27.3 opening quarter. Swan in Motion, the 1-2 favorite, raced comfortably on the lead to the half in :56.3 before Muscle Dynasty ground first-over up the backstretch with That Ole Bar Stool shadowing second-over and Rivers waiting patiently in the pocket.
Swan In Motion continued on an uncontested lead as the outside flow weakened, and he reached three-quarters in 1:24.4. In deep stretch, Rivers emerged along the pylons to defeat Swan In Motion by a head in 1:54. Indy Be Quick was a ground-saving third.

Rivers, who paid $11.20 to win in his first seasonal victory, is owned by Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi.
Callahan and Tony Morgan guided four winners each on the card.
The feature race on Wednesday (March 26) is the $25,000 Mares Open Handicap Pace. Disturbed Hanover, who was an upset winner at 9-1 odds last week, takes on Ludacrous A and Incaseyoudidnknow. First post is 4:30 p.m.
