“Rock and Roll” Monday at Harrington

Harrington, DE — Elizabeth and Bret Brittingham’s Itsrockandroll A ($6.60, Allan Davis) was a 1:53 winner in the featured $20,000 Open Monday at Harrington Raceway.

The 8-year-old A Rocknroll Dance gelding sat in the pocket behind pacesetter Metallica much of the mile before emerging down the passing lane full of pace in the stretch for a narrow win over Heinkikinbythebay and Major Betts. It was the fourth win of the year for the Don Brittingham trainee, who has banked $390,908 lifetime.

On the undercard, Chesapeake Equine Clinic’s Full Send ($9.00, Jim Morand) was a wire-to-wire winner in 1:51.4 in a $11,000 conditioned pace for trainer Eli Scott Jr.

J&T Davis Inc.’s Advance Man ($5.00, Allan Davis) notched his 11th win of the year in a $16,000 pace for $40,000 claimers. The 5-year-old Sweet Lou gelding led all the way for trainer Tyler Davis in achieving his seventh win of the meet in 1:52.4.

Highlighting other action on the 12-race card, Gone Before Dawn ($2.40, Tony Morgan) and Top Genius ($3.20, Pat Berry) extended their respective winning streaks to three, while Morgan and Davis each drove three winners on the card.

Live racing at Harrington will continue Tuesday (June 26) and Wednesday (June 27) before the customary summer break after the July 3 program. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
