Schnittker/MacDonald win four Pocono qualifiers

Wilkes-Barre, PA — Trainer Ray Schnittker and driver Mark MacDonald had a good Wednesday morning (May 10) with their returning 3-year-olds at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, with four winners in all.

Two of them were by Huntsville — the filly Hunting Season, a double NYSS winner at two, winning in 1:54.1–:27.3 for Schnittker and co-owners Mary Kinsey Arnold and Steven Arnold; and the gelding To The Hunt, an NYSS Excelsior champion at two, home first in 1:54 for Schnittker, David Pepin, and Flintlock Farm Inc.

A third winner on the pace for Schnittker/MacDonald was Johnny Sack, an altered son of American Ideal out of Worldly Treasure, the dam of Captaintreacherous, who came home in :54.4-:27 to win a 1:53.4 mile for Schnittker, Ted Gewertz, and Nolamaura Racing.

On the trot, the Chapter Seven gelding The Good Book drew off to win by himself in 1:57.1 for owners Schnittker and Gewertz.
