Seeuatthesmoke makes it two straight in Buckeye Stallion Series

Grove City, OH — The second leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series for 2-year-olds wrapped up Friday night (July 21) at Eldorado Scioto Downs with six divisions for freshman colt pacers. Seeuatthesmoke was the only first leg winner to win again as he captured the first division of the night.

Kurt Sugg raced Seeuatthesmoke off the gate and never looked back, going gate-to-wire to win in 1:55. The son of Racing Hill is trained and owned by Michel Lee. Seeuatthesmoke is a perfect four-for-four in his young career. Hot Rod Hill finished second with Well That’s Marky third.

In the second division, Dragons R Fearless and Chris Page were the fastest Stallion Series winners of the night. Page took the pocket trip, pulling Dragons R Fearless around the final turn, and drew away to win by three lengths in a new lifetime mark of 1:52.3. It was the second win in three starts for the Fear The Dragon colt. Tim Lane trains Dragons R Fearless for owners James Stambaugh and Alan Keith. Topofthehill AS was second while My Legend finished third.

Abitofbettors Buns and Jeremy Smith sat patiently in the pocket before making their move at the top of the stretch to win the third division. Abitofbettors Buns reeled in All Lathered Up mid-stretch to win by 1-1/4 lengths in a new lifetime mark of 1:54.4. Michael Arnold trains the son of Bit Of A Legend N for owners Rob Rittof and Martin Budkey. In three starts, Abitofbettors Buns has two wins. All Lathered Up held on for second place with Dragon You Along third.

In the fourth division, Bronx Drifter with Austin Hanners was fifth through the first half-mile but went three wide up the backstretch to grab the lead at three-quarters and pull away to win easily by five lengths in a new lifetime mark of 1:54. Bronx Drifter has hit the board in all four starts this year, winning two. Steve Carter trains the son of Yankee Cruiser for owners Sheila Hummel and Peggy Carter. Rainrock finished second with Jd’s Zack Atack third.

Cheyenne Tuff with Mike Wilder used the passing lane to blow by Cinderlane Cruiser to win the fifth division by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:55.2. It was the first career win for the son of Well Said. Dan Altmeyer trains Cheyenne Tuff for Ruth Altmeyer. He’s Hot And Ready hit the wire third.

Attention Span with Brady Galliers and Ridin The Seaside with Dan Noble dueled up the backstretch and final turn before Attention Span pulled away to win by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:53.4. Galliers trains the Downbytheseaside gelding for Galliers Racing and David Kryway. It was the first win in three starts for Attention Span. Mr Legend finished third.
