Fort Washington, MD — Shethinksistilcare turned aside 4-5 favorite Sheer Terror in a :27.2 third-quarter duel en route to a lifetime-best 1:51.2 victory in a co-featured $9,000 top-level conditioned pace on Monday (April 14) at Rosecroft, capping a driving grand slam for Russell Foster on the 13-race program.

Shethinksistilcare, whom Foster also owns as Russell Foster Racing LLC and his wife, Megan, trains, pushed clear of early pacesetter Captain Mikey (Justin Walters) after being parked to a :26 first quarter. After rating a :55.1 half, the 5-year-old Western Vintage-Metallico gelding faced a stern challenge up the backstretch from Sheer Terror (Jonathan Roberts).
The pair dueled past three-quarters in 1:22.3 and around the far turn before Shethinksistilcare asserted in the homestretch to parry his outside rival and keep Captain Mikey 1-1/2 lengths at bay. Babes All In (Jared Moyer) rallied around failing cover to save third.
Shethinksistilcare, now a 12-time winner, paid $5.40 to win as the second choice.
Foster also won with his own Pirates Shadow (1:52.1, $5.00) along with Steve Wetzel trainees Rocket Mac (1:52.2, $7.20) and Sea Of Life (1:51.3, $45.60). Sea Of Life’s 21-1 upset keyed a 9-1-5-8-4 Jackpot Hi-5 that returned $15,917.25.
On The Cards N and driver Johnathan Ahle captured the other $9,000 co-feature, brushing from the pocket to overtake Shim (Roberts) with a circuit to go before turning aside Walden Woods (Walters) on the far turn and evading Shim for a 1-1/2-length, 1:52.4 score. A Major Attitude (Roger Plante Jr.) closed belatedly for third.
Willard Reynolds trains On The Cards N, a 10-year-old Bettor’s Delight-Funontherun gelding who paid $2.80 to win as the 2-5 favorite, for Mark Howard.
Live racing returns to Rosecroft on Wednesday (April 16); first post is 7:15 p.m. (EDT).
