Harrington, DE — Andrew Glassmeyer’s Southwind Mina ($6.20, Pat Berry) registered her fifth straight win in 1:53 in the $18,000 Mares Open on Tuesday (June 10) at Harrington Raceway.
Favorite Square Deal took the lead when the gates folded and sprinted from post five to set fractions of :27.3, :55.3 and 1:24.1. Southwind Mina mounted a first-over attack and eventually wore down the pacesetter for an impressive 1:53 triumph. Square Deal held second, while Incaseyoudidntknow finished third.

It was the 11th win of the year for the 7-year-old Always B Miki mare, who is trained by her owner.
On the undercard, Jeff Fought and Brian Carsey’s Madelines Blk Jack ($7.80, Russell Foster) was a 1:52.2 winner in a $25,000 claiming event for trainer Jay Gannon.
Driver Tony Morgan had a triple.
