Harrington, DE – Breakaway Racing and Yorwollohan Racing’s Speed Away ($22, Corey Callahan) overcame post eight to record his 27th career win in 1:56 in the featured $22,500 Open Trot Wednesday( May 20) at Harrington Raceway.

Early leader A Blue Million, who won this event three starts ago, authored fractions of :28.2, :58.2 and 1:27 while Speed Away pressed him and gained an advantage at the three-quarters and began to pull away to draw off in the stretch for a four-length score. Arrowhead Hanover was second with A Blue Million third. Speed Away has an affinity for Harrington, having won a horse of the meet title here in 2025. More than half his career wins have come over the half-mile oval. The win also gave Callahan a hat trick.
Jaypaul Hoover’s Somebody Special was a 1:55.4 winner in a $14,500 conditioned trot on the undercard for trainer Chuck Crissman Jr., her 25th career win in 82 starts. Crissman-trained Bailey’s Pleeze ($2.10, Allan Davis) then won the next race in a $10,000 conditioned trot in 1:59.2. Jason Thompson had a double early on the program, joining Russell Foster.
