Harrington, DE – Breakaway Racing and Yorwollohan Racing’s Speed Away ($27.40, Corey Callahan) was an upset winner in the $22,500 Open Trot Wednesday (May 6) at Harrington Raceway in 1:55.1.
Speed Away, an 8-year-old Father Patrick gelding set all the fractions from his rail post and never relented in a wire-to-wire score over Fruit Snacker and A Blue Million. It was the Nick Callahan-trainee’s 27th lifetime win, and 13th at Harrington. Speed Away is a former horse of the meet over the Delaware half-mile racetrack.

On the undercard, Amanda Malone and Peter Marsh’s Cantab’s Master ($9.20, Callahan) won his 3rd straight race in 1:56.4 for trainer and co-owner Marsh. It was a memorable night for Callahan, who had 4 driving wins on the program.
Russell Foster, Jim Morand and Allan Davis each had driving doubles.
