Harrington, DE — Mark Howard’s Square Deal ($4.80, Anthony Morgan) was a 1:53.2 winner in the $22,500 Mares Open Pace on Tuesday (April 21) at Harrington Raceway.
The 6-year-old Heston Blue Chip mare notched her fourth win of the season off an impressive three-wide move to three-quarters, where she opened up 4 lengths on the field over Nite Time Deal and Almost Persuaded.

It was the 25th career win for Square Deal, who is trained by Will Reynolds. It was her first start back in her home state after a three-start stint in a series at New York’s MGM Yonkers Raceway.
Wiggle Babe ($93, Shane Griffith) pulled off a huge upset in the eighth race with a 1:58.3 triumph for his first career win for owner/trainer Ron Short.
Deborah and Jamie Bozman’s Cindy Jo ($10, Russell Foster) was a 1:55.3 winner in the $18,000 Open II for trainer Walter Bozman Jr. over Stevie Hanover and Disturbed Hanover.
