Standardbreds at Equine Affaire this weekend

Columbus, OH – Standardbreds will be in full force at Equine Affaire this weekend (April 11-14) at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus.

With a partnership between Ohio Standardbreds & Friends, New Vocations Racehorse Adoption, Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association and the United States Trotting Association, there will be 12 demonstrations throughout the weekend:
Friday

11:45 a.m. in Celeste
12:45 p.m. in Voinovich (Cherokee Stables Drill Team)
2:45 p.m. in Voinovich
4:30 p.m. in Rod’s Arena

Saturday
11:00 a.m. in the Coliseum
2:45 p.m. in Celeste
4:00 p.m. in the Coliseum
4:15 p.m. in Rod’s Arena

Sunday

The OHHA/USTA booth in the Breed Pavilion (Voinovich) will include a race bike with virtual reality headset, a petting stall with various Standardbreds rotating in throughout the weekend for people to get up close and personal with, a trivia wheel, horse bone box and more.

New Vocations Racehorse Adoption & Ohio Standardbreds & Friends will also each have a booth in the Breed Pavilion.

Eldorado Scioto Downs will also have a booth in the Bricker Building (#326) to promote all their events this summer, kicking off with a Kentucky Derby Party & Car Show on Saturday, May 4th and opening day of live racing on Thursday, May 9th.

An adult single-day ticket is $16; children (ages 7-10) are $10 and kids 6 & under are admitted in for free. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the gate (cash only) at $18 for an adult ticket. Parking at the Ohio Expo Center is $10.
