Stole The Show steals show again

Vermo, NO — For the second year in a row, the 9-year-old trotter Stoletheshow, trained in Norway but owned and bred in Sweden (and raised in Denmark), secured victory in the Finlandia Ajo at Vermo.

The winner’s purse was 110,000 Euros.

Stoletheshow (sired by Dream Vacation) took the lead after 3/8 of a mile and maintained it, crossing the finish line in 1:52.4f.

Catullo Jet, driven by Alessandro Gocciadoro, finished closely behind, with the favorite Hail Mary, piloted by Ôrjan Kihlström, also in contention.

Stoletheshow’s triumph earned the horse a spot in the Elitlopp at Solvalla later this month.

However, trainer Frode Hamre is reconsidering and will announce his decision on Monday.

Casullo Jet, who finished second, competed in an international Group 1 race for the first time.

Despite having the lowest lifetime earnings in the field, Casullo Jet put up a strong fight, even though he had to trot four wide around the last turn.

Notably, Casullo Jet is partially owned by legendary NBA player Nikola Jokić.
