Nichols, NY – Sweet Cheyanne (Tyler Miller) won the $12,000 featured fillies & mares’ pace at Tioga Downs on Friday (Aug. 9).
Oaxacan Dream N (Kyle Swift) was first to the quarter in :27.2. She continued on the point and led to the half in :56.2. Sweet Cheyanne ($3.60) made her move first-over going down the backstretch. Oaxacan Dream N had a short lead to three-quarters in 1:23.4.

As they reached the stretch, Sweet Cheyanne took over control and held off second-place finisher PL Princess C (Aaron Byron) to win in a lifetime best of 1:50.3. Alta Medeira N (Mike Merton) finished third.
Sweet Cheyanne is a 4-year-old mare by Huntsville. She is owned by Pollack Racing and trained by Jeff Cullipher. It was her third win this season and her 10th career victory.
Mike Merton had a driving hat trick. Rob Harmon, Jeff Cullipher, and Mike Deters had training doubles. Tyler Miller, Aaron Byron, and Braxten Boyd had driving doubles.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Saturday (Aug. 10) with a 10-race card starting at 6:15 p.m.
