The United States Harness Writers Association (USHWA) is pleased to announce the election of Al Libfeld, Åke Svanstedt and Russell Williams to the greatest honor in the industry, membership in the Harness Racing Hall of Fame.
USHWA has also elected the late Barry Lefkowitz and Kim Rinker to the pinnacle of their profession, membership in the Communicators Hall of Fame.

Svanstedt trotters notch impressive wins at Pocono Sunday
The Pennsylvania All-Stars races for state-sired two-year-olds will be raced at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania during the first half of July, with the first the event for trotting males on July 4th, this coming Saturday. Several classes of two-year-old prep races, for $16,000, were written for the Sunday (July 5) twilight card at the mountain oval, and among the baby colts to race in Saturday’s debut stake, the 1-2 finishers on Sunday (June 28) – Yankee Boss and Celebrity Hunter – may be worth keeping an eye on.
Svanstedt scores six pack in Pocono freshman Qs
The Åke Svanstedt Stable, winner of five 2-year-old qualifying races during the first baby session at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania a week ago, topped itself on Wednesday (June 10) with six of their freshmen tasting success, including a sweep of the four contests for trotting fillies.
