At Monday’s (July 28) Copenhagen Yearling Sale, Åke Svanstedt bought three yearlings, all of which will be flown to the United States.
The most expensive of the three was the filly Snappy Miss Abby, by Walner and out of the same dam as Busy Miss Lissy (by Calgary Games), 2, 1:53.3 – $248,339. The final bid was 220,000 euros.
Both the colt Lenny the Lion, by Face Time Bourbon and out of Laurel America, and the filly Smarty Miss Marty, by Walner and out of Red Rose America, brought 160,000 euros.
Laurel America and Red Rose America are full sisters by Varenne and out of Armbro Voice.
Laurel America is also the dam of Eric the Eel (by Muscle Hill), 1:50.2 – $760,000, while Red Rose America has produced Preacherman, 1:52.2f – $225,000, and Queen of America, 1:53 – $96,804, both by Father Patrick.
