A few years ago he met some folks involved in harness racing which prompted him to visit the racetrack and see what it was all about. Thinker Monkey leads eight into Dexter Cup
Eight horses were entered Wednesday for the Dexter Cup, the first Grand Circuit event of the season for 3-year-old male trotters, making eliminations unnecessary Saturday at Freehold Raceway. All eight horses advance directly to the Dexter Cup final, which will go for a purse of $134,900 on May 4 at the half-mile track in central New Jersey. Headlining the octet is Thinker Monkey, who was purchased for $500,000 at the 2022 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale and is a full brother to 2020 Trotter of the Year Gimpanzee.

Her sister Callmegaga was a one time Maryland Sire Stakes record holder, and her grandfather, Great George Two, while quirky, could fly. So it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that Call Me Goo is a talented horse. On Tuesday night (April 23) at Rosecroft, the 4-year-old started her new year in fine fashion romping to victory in the $25,900 Maryland Sire Stakes for 4- and 5-year-old trotters in 1:54.2.
