The 171st Ohio State Fair comes to a close on Sunday (Aug. 9), but that still gives Ohioans plenty of time to enjoy the fair food, agricultural displays, and a ride on the new Ohio Children’s Carousel, which features a scene from the Little Brown Jug.

Fillies took over the Friday (July 31) card at Eldorado Scioto Downs with Ohio State Fair events for 3-year-old trotters and pacers, 2-year-old pacers, and older mares of both gaits taking place. Purses for the nine events for Ohio-sired fillies and mares totaled $593,100.
