Terry Lewis, 76, dies

Columbus, OH — Terry Lewis, 76, of Townsend, Del., died Jan. 31, 2024.

Ms. Lewis was born Feb. 20, 1947, at the Columbia Hospital for Women, in Washington, D.C., to the late Joseph Seesman and Nancy Quinn Seesman. As a young child, she lived in Key West, Fla., before moving to Frederick, Md. Most of her adult life was spent training racehorses at Rosecroft Raceway before moving to Delaware in 2000. She returned to Delaware in 2016, where she lived out the remainder of her life. After retirement, she put all her energy into loving her grandchildren and cheering on her daughter Diane, who followed in her footsteps racing horses.

Ms. Lewis is survived by her children, Troy Ehrhart (Elizabeth), of Jacksonville, N.C., Diane Lewis (Ernie Hendry), of Englishtown, N.J, and Christine Lewis (David Zak), of Townsend, Del.; grandchildren, Gavin, Thayne, Aiden, Eliana and Lilias Ehrhart, Bethannie and Izabella Zak; and her dog, Darla.
