Vernon, NY — Vernon Downs played host to two $58,000 divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 3-year-old pacing fillies on Saturday (June 21).
The Last Martini (Doug McNair) captured the first NYSS division.
Send It Down Slim (Ray Schnittker) took the early lead, but The Last Martini ($2.10) took over just before hitting the quarter first in :26.1. She slowed things down with a :29.4 second quarter and led to the half in :56. She cruised to three-quarters in 1:24.4.
As they reached the stretch, second-place finisher Send It Down Slim gave it all she had, but The Last Martini was too strong and equaled her lifetime mark of 1:51. Fansville (Tyler Buter) finished third.
The Last Martini is a 3-year-old filly by Huntsville owned by Glenview Livestock and trained by Jared Bako. It was her second win this season. She now has six career victories.
Shes A Streaker (Buter) won the NYSS second division.

Shes A Streaker ($2.20) darted right out to the front and led to the quarter in :26.4. She used a :28.4 second quarter to be first to the half in :55.3. She remained in complete control and owned three-quarters in 1:23.
Second-place finisher Strutsville went all out in the stretch but Shes A Streaker was too fast and blazed to a lifetime best clocking of 1:50. Hurrikane Marigold (Schnittker) finished third.
Shes A Streaker is a 3-year-old filly by Huntsville trained by Ron Burke for owners Frank Baldachino, Burke Racing Stable, J&T Silva-Purnell&Libby and Knox Services. This was her third win in 2025. She now has four lifetime victories.
John MacDonald earned a driving grand slam.
