The Stable of Memories to be open during Grand Circuit meet in Lexington

Lexington, KY — The Stable of Memories, the round barn adjacent to the Red Mile, will be open on race days during the current fall Grand Circuit meet at the Lexington track.

The Stable of Memories will be open until 2 p.m. each race day.

A collection of old catalogs from major Standardbred horse sales will be available for purchase at nominal prices. Provided photo.

In addition to new exhibits on the second floor of the building, a collection of old catalogs from major Standardbred horse sales will be available for purchase at nominal prices. Among the catalogs, many of which date to the 1940s, are a few copies signed by Hall of Famers Delvin Miller and Howard Beissinger.

The annual Stable of Memories fundraiser will be held Sunday (Oct. 2) from 6-9 p.m. at the round barn. Tickets are $50 and include a barbeque dinner and music. Tickets may be purchased in advance at stableofmemories.square.site. If you are in Lexington, you may stop by Fennell’s tack shop for ticket information.
