Theodore Wesley “Wes” Fisher, 85, dies

Columbus, OH — Theodore Wesley “Wes” Fisher, 85, of Middletown, N.Y. and Montague, N.J., died April 27, 2022, at Garnet Health Medical Center of natural causes.

Born Oct. 29, 1936, he was preceded in death by his mother and father, Irene and Richard; brother, John; and sisters, Maryanne and Kitty. He is survived by his sister, Betty; daughters, Debbie Conklin and Laura Roloson; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; long time companion, Sandra Tenhove and her daughter Tasha; as well as his show quality Shihtzus, Bart and Shrimp.

For many years, Mr. Fisher owned and operated several businesses in the northern New Jersey area. The most prominent was Rozewood Pet Foods located in Montague, N.J., specializing in large animal feed, serving many horse farms in the tri-state area.

He was instrumental in the development, construction and management of the Mark Ford Training Center in Middletown, N.Y., where he operated his feed business for the last several years.

Known for his impeccable work ethic, unreserved honesty and his genuine love of people and animals, Mr. Fisher will be greatly missed by the harness racing industry and the many lives he touched along his 85 year journey on this Earth.

A memorial service will be held at Applebee McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, N.Y. on Monday (May 2) from 5-6 p.m. Entombment will be later in the summer at the convenience of the family.
