Plainville, MA — For the third consecutive week, Turn The Page put the swoop to the group in the $25,000 Open Handicap pace for fillies and mares at Plainridge Park on Friday (June 5) and remained undefeated in Massachusetts in 2026.

Ron Cushing took Turn The Page off the gate from post five and sat last as Intothemysticmoon Bruce Ranger) rambled on the point to the quarter in :26.3. But that lead was soon surrendered to Joan’srisingstar N (Kevin Switzer Jr.), who took control before the :54.1 half. At that same station, Cushing tipped Turn The Page and started advancing towards the leader as they rolled up the backside.
Joan’srisingstar N continued to lead by a length at three-quarters, but Turn The Page continued to advance and as they made their way through the turn, drew even with her. When the girls straightened for home, Turn The Page pushed ahead by a length and held that advantage over Joan’srisingstar N and a fast-closing Swedish Starlet N (Matty Athearn) to win in 1:50.1, tying her season’s best effort.
It was the sixth win in 13 starts this year for the heavily-backed Turn The Page ($3.80), who is owned by her driver, Ron Cushing, in partnership with Kevin Sywyk. Heidi Cushing trains the winner.
Kevin Switzer Jr. had a natural hat trick in races six, seven and eight to lead all reinsmen on Friday. Switzer won with Grafenberg (1:56.3, $5.60), Get Along (1:54, $3.40) and Waves (1:54.4, $23.40).
Racing resumes at Plainridge Park on Monday (June 8) at 4 p.m. and there will be a $39,168 carryover in the Wicked Hi-5 pentafecta wager in the sixth race.
