Las Vegas, NV – Thomas Clive Johnson, born 3/2/1944 in Orlando, FL to the late Mr. and Mrs. Fay V. Johnson and Helen Vancleve Johnson, passed away on 1/2/2026 in Las Vegas, NV.
Tom grew up in Evansville, IN, and attended Reitz Memorial HS before graduating from Indiana University in 1967.

After spending two years in the U.S. Army, Tom began a career in the horse racing industry, having worked tracks in KY, FL, Canada, and a 5 year stint as the Director of Marketing & Publicity at Saratoga Harness Raceway in Saratoga Springs, NY. Shortly thereafter, Tom became the head of PR for the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY.
Tom then migrated to Las Vegas where he began a 25 year career in the Race & Sports industry both behind the line and as a very successful professional handicapper.
In his youth, Tom was a very fine tennis player and an outstanding duplicate player, having won a regional event at the age of 21. In his latter years, Tom was a voracious reader and skilled cook.
