Harrisburg, PA — It is part of Pennsylvania Fair Sire Stakes tradition that the horse accumulating the most points based on order of finish (“A” division races) at the 19 stops on the circuit be awarded a special blanket noting the achievement, and made with the stable colors, at the Pennsylvania Fair Banquet, held in conjunction with the USTA District 7 (Pennsylvania) meeting.
This dinner will take place on Saturday (Jan. 18, 2025) at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort.
The following nine horses accumulated the most points during the 2024 summer racing (if an event is rained out, each entrant gets an equal amount of points; the 2-year-olds got all their starts in, while the 3-year-olds were washed out twice). This is how the horses’ connections will receive the prized blankets, which can be seen in use long after the horse who won them has ended her or his time at the races.
The 2-year-old pacing filly sector resulted in a “dead heat” this year, with Sweet Ride Hanover and Its Written ending the campaign exactly even in points.

The summer long form and consistency of these horses will, as stated, be rewarded over the winter at the Fair Banquet, but the scoreboard resets to zero when the top eight declaring point winners from each of the eight stakes divisions get ready to face off in their $25,000 Pennsylvania Fair Sire Stakes championships during a twilight card at The Meadows on Friday (Oct. 11).
